Resources

Hello, cartoonists!
One of my passions (aside from lasagna-loving cats and treat-loving rabbits) is finding ways to help other cartoonists. Comics is a tricky industry that can be hard to navigate, and I have a lot of feelings about healthy scheduling, equity, getting paid what you’re worth… you know, the fun stuff.
So here’s a collection of some things that you might find helpful! Tell a friend!

Mentorships

I offer mentorships on a regular basis. This is a two-month program in which I correspond with upcoming cartoonists as they work on a six-to-eight page comic, from start to finish. More information can be found in the application; if you have any questions, please feel free to get in touch.

Applications are currently closed. If you’re curious about what my mentorships entail, the summer mentorship application can be found here (please don’t fill it out). I hope to offer another round of mentorships next year, and will post updates on this page and on Twitter.

Portfolio Reviews

I am happy to review portfolios! Just fill out the form here, and please be patient (especially if it’s deadline season).

Mentor & Resource Directory

I’m also currently maintaining a directory of people in comics who offer mentorships or are open to questions – please check it out, and feel free to add yourself if you’re interested in participating!
